THE BOTTLEYARD APARTMENTS PERTH

The Bottleyard apartments at 99 Palmerston Street is steeped in history stretching back to when the area was the home of the Mooro People. Extensive archaeological surveys and studies have retrieved many important artifacts that are now displayed in the WA Museum.

In the late 1800’s the land was drained and set up as a market garden which continued to operate until the turn of the century. In the early 1900’s the site became Perth’s busiest bottleyard, used by several different companies over the next 70 years including the ‘Perth and Fremantle Bottle Exchange Company.’ This development is named “The Bottleyard” as a tribute to its former life.
